The Benefits of Heating Maintenance

Heating maintenance entails a comprehensive inspection and tune-up of your equipment. We’ll:

  • Inspect your ventilation system and air intake grilles, and remove blockages that can lead to overheating and component loss.
  • Remove debris from your blower so your unit can evenly heat your home without leaving cold patches.
  • Check that your electrical connections are tightened and remove damaged wiring. This is a vital part of your fire prevention strategy.
  • Calibrate your thermostat to ensure your unit achieves the precise temperature you want.
  • Check your safety controls and startup cycle, ensuring your air filter won’t pump impurities and dust into your home.

If you have a gas- or oil-fueled system, your preventative maintenance plan will need to accommodate a few extra steps. We’ll check for fuel line leaks that can lead to serious health problems. We’ll also make sure your gas pressure is correct. This way, under or overheating won’t cause serious damage to your furnace.

A simple HVAC tune-up can prevent a world of problems, so it’s an investment that truly pays for itself in exceptional functionality.

The Importance of HVAC Maintenance

Did you know that less than 10% of industrial equipment wears down from ordinary usage? A lack of proper maintenance causes 90% of mechanical failures. Deferred maintenance assures you of expensive component breakdowns. A strict preventative maintenance plan ensures every component of your HVAC system can cope with the season to come.

With your components and ductwork clear, you can expect to breathe pure, allergen-free air, which is particularly important for homeowners with respiratory conditions and allergies.

Poorly maintained units are susceptible to leaks and condensation, which can lead to mold and mildew growth in your system. These infestations harm your HVAC system, health, and home. When you schedule routine maintenance for your heating and cooling equipment, you take care of your home and health.

Air Conditioning Maintenance

Your AC maintenance strategy will enhance:

  • Availability: Tune-ups prevent downtime for reactive maintenance, so you can expect 99% uptime.
  • Performance: A well-maintained AC disperses air well, maintains its set temperature, and offers better air purity.
  • Quality: A tuned-up air conditioner has clean filters and coils, so it can cool more effectively and provide fresh air.

While it’s impossible to achieve 100% uptime, reactive maintenance prevents lengthy periods of downtime. If you’re serious about your summer comfort, a regular maintenance plan is the best way to achieve it. AC service includes:

  • An air filter and fin cleaning to ensure good air quality.
  • Coolant level checks ensure your unit isn’t using more electricity than it needs.
  • A condenser and evaporator coil cleaning: This part of your service will prevent overheating that can lead to equipment failure. Your technician will clear debris from all your key components so they can be properly cooled.
  • Leakage checks and drain cleaning are essential parts of maintenance.
  • We’ll inspect your fan motor, evaporator unit, thermostat, and more, so we can identify faults before they cause a bigger problem.
